Outbird is a nightly game: cartoon birds fight at 8pm Eastern, and feeding yours real money makes it stronger tonight. These terms are the deal you accept by hatching a bird or buying feed. The rules are the mechanics; this page is the agreement.
You must be 18 or older. By playing you confirm you are, and that it is lawful for you to use a paid entertainment service where you live.
What Outbird sells is virtual feed and advertising placement, at a published flat rate, settled by a deterministic auction — never entry into a game of chance, and never a contest with a pooled prize.
Adopting a fighter ($1) buys a virtual game bird with its banked conditioning and gear — never a feed balance, and like everything here, nothing with cash value.
Feed (credits) is a virtual license, not property: $1 buys 100 feed, flat, and feed has no cash value. It cannot be cashed out, refunded into money, transferred, gifted, traded or resold — there is no route in the product that turns feed back into dollars, by design. Cosmetics are virtual goods delivered instantly. All purchases are final, except where the law where you live says otherwise or a billing error is ours — write to us and we will fix real mistakes.
If your bird takes a division, the dollar amount you fed to win it is published — on the front page until the next bell, and on the card and in the archive for good. This is a core mechanic, stated at hatch and at checkout. If you would rather that number never appeared, don't win.
A paid bird flies your logo and your link. You promise the site you point at is yours to advertise — no infringing, unlawful, deceptive or malicious destinations. We may unlink or retire a bird whose mark breaks this, and we look at where the winning slot points as a matter of course.
A bird is held by its secret, shown once at hatch. A free bird with a lost secret is gone — there is no account to recover it with. A paid bird is bound to the email Stripe verified at checkout, which is what recovery hangs on.
The fight is deterministic and every formula is published. Don't abuse the API, exploit bugs, or automate what a person is meant to do. We may correct a settled night if the inputs were corrupted — corrections are published, never silent.
The house fields its own birds so a card is never empty. They are comped, never fed, and fight under the same published formula as everyone else.
Outbird is provided as is. We aim for a bell every night but do not promise uninterrupted service; if a bell is ever missed, we settle it as soon as possible and publish on the front page exactly what was done. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We can update these terms and the rules; changes are never retroactive — what you already spent and won is settled under the version in force at the time. We may suspend or retire birds that break these terms. If Outbird ever shuts down, we will say so on the front page ahead of time; feed has no cash value at shutdown, as always.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Payments are processed by Stripe; where Stripe is merchant of record, its consumer terms also apply to the transaction. Contact: hello@outbird.lol.
